About SBUSBU does not only means Students Basketball Utrecht, but it also represents a lot of fun. Our five men and six women teams are playing in leagues of all different levels from beginners till more experienced basketballers. All teams are playing in the leagues of the NBB (Dutch Basketball Association). The first and second team both men as women will practice twice a weekon Wednesdays and Fridays, the other teams will practice just once a week on one of both days.

SBU is more than playing in a basketball league only. Every year during the Ascensionsweekend we organise the MIT (Mega International Tournament), This tournament is equal to four days of basketball, three parties and more than enough other activities. Furthermore we have our yearly camp in Octobre and during the season several parties will take place. Our club paper, the Basketcase, will keep you up to date with all the ins & outs of SBU. SBU is founded in 1987 bij some basketballers of USBF, who wanted to play in real leagues of the NBB. Right now our founders are members of honour:

Utrecht Bulls - Our 'sister' club is the Utrecht Bulls. A group of former students founded this clubto keep up the SBU feeling. Every Buller pays 5 Euro extra fees to support SBU. Once a year we organize the mixed-mix tournament and a party together. Check their site http://www.utrechtbulls.nl.
